These Terms of Sale and Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of the Venus Jewellers website and all transactions, services, and interactions conducted with Venus Jewellers, whether online, in-store, or otherwise. By accessing our website, requesting a quote, or conducting business with us in-store, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Scope and Application

These Terms apply to:

  • Website visitors
  • In-store customers
  • All purchases made in-store
  • Quotes, appraisals, repairs, alterations, custom work, and special orders

Our website is informational only. No online checkout or ecommerce functionality is offered at this time. All purchases are completed in person at our retail location.

2. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or transactions with Venus Jewellers shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.

3. Sales Channels and Quotes

  • All purchases occur in-store only
  • Quotes may be requested online but are finalized in person
  • Quotes are time-limited by the minute due to constantly fluctuating precious metal markets
  • Quotes may be withdrawn, revised, or refused at any time prior to completion of a transaction

4. Pricing and Errors

  • Prices are subject to change without notice
  • Venus Jewellers reserves the right to refuse or cancel a transaction due to pricing, typographical, or system errors
  • Pricing errors do not obligate Venus Jewellers to honor incorrect prices

5. Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods:

  • Cash
  • Debit
  • Credit cards
  • Interac e-Transfer
  • Wire transfer

All sales are final.
Payment is considered complete once funds are received and confirmed.

6. Returns, Refunds, and Exchanges

All sales are final.

Venus Jewellers does not offer returns, refunds, or exchanges under any circumstances, including but not limited to:

  • Jewellery purchases
  • Bullion and precious metals
  • Custom work
  • Repairs or alterations
  • Special orders

7. Precious Metals and Bullion

Due to market volatility:

  • All bullion and precious metal sales are final
  • Prices are locked at the time of transaction confirmation
  • No cancellations or refunds are permitted once pricing is confirmed
  • Market price fluctuations are not grounds for dispute or reversal

Customers acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with precious metal pricing.

8. Repairs, Alterations, Custom Work, and Special Orders

Venus Jewellers offers:

  • Jewellery repairs
  • Resizing
  • Custom design work
  • Special orders

The following terms apply:

  • Deposits are non-refundable
  • Completion timelines are estimates only
  • We are not responsible for delays outside our control
  • Customers acknowledge inherent risks, including:
    • Fragile or damaged stones
    • Antique or previously altered pieces
    • Structural limitations of certain jewellery items

Venus Jewellers is not responsible for pre-existing conditions or failures resulting from such conditions.

9. Appraisals

  • Appraisals are professional estimates, not guarantees of resale or replacement value
  • Intended for insurance or informational purposes only
  • Venus Jewellers is not responsible for discrepancies between appraisal values and insurer determinations

10. Identification and Compliance

Venus Jewellers may require valid government-issued identification for certain transactions. We reserve the right to:

  • Refuse service if identification is not provided
  • Collect information as required to comply with AML and FINTRAC regulations

Failure to provide required information may result in transaction refusal.

11. Warranties and Disclaimers

  • No guarantees are made against normal wear and tear
  • Manufacturer warranties apply where provided and are subject to manufacturer terms
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, all other warranties are disclaimed

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Venus Jewellers’ total liability is limited to the purchase price paid
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages
  • This applies whether liability arises in contract, tort, negligence, or otherwise

All website content, including but not limited to:

  • Text
  • Images
  • Designs
  • Graphics

is the intellectual property of Venus Jewellers and may not be copied, reproduced, scraped, or misused without written permission. External links are provided for convenience only. We are not responsible for third-party content.
